Simple reading help for homeschool families

Teaching a child to read should not be a daily battle.

Most children do not struggle because they cannot learn. They struggle because the pieces were taught out of order — letters, sounds, handwriting, then books.

These are the same hands-on activities and teaching strategies I used in my classroom for 24 years to help children become confident readers who like to learn.

If you are homeschooling and reading feels stuck, start with the foundations. Then the books get easier.
